Julia Walker
Hello my name is Julia Walker. My Gitksan Name is Guuhaadix gyediit. I am from wilps Niigyep and Lax Gibuu is my clan. My mom is traditionally from Gisesgaas, and dad is originally Gitsegukla. I was blessed to be raised Gyets and Gigeenix.
I have a back ground in finance. Some of my experience is gained from working at Gitsegukla Health as a Finance Office Manager for 10 years. I planned and budgeted for programs, payroll, AP, bank reconciliation and audit prep. I worked as a finance worker in Prince George for Jordy who operated multiple businesses. I did the payroll for 250 employees, accounts receivable and payable.
I explored and worked in other areas like Social Development for 8 years, and Counselling.
I am currently working with Indian Residential School Survivors as a support worker for the Gyets. I lead a clean and sober life, and feel this is key to a well rounded life
