My Gitxsan name is Dawaans, and I am a Matriarch from Wilp Sto’om Hloxsw. My House Chief is Niis Noohl, Ray Jones of Gitsegukla.

Facilitator Role:
• Report to the Simgiigyet of the Upper Nass Watershed
• Provide resources and support to all members of the watershed team
• Secure funds for watershed operations with guidance from the Upper Nass Watershed Simgiigyet.
• Research for Upper Nass Chiefs on any SER’s Shared Engagement Records and request all required documents for the Chiefs to make informed decisions on any proposed activity on there respective territories.
I enjoy harvesting fish and smoking, jarring, and salting in preparation for the winter, and providing for my family and many elders with whom we are very close. I also enjoy processing moose meat, smoking the meat and ribs, jarring, vacuum packing, and sharing with family and elders.
